I lost my day job when the pandemic just hit. In March 2020 I just graduated university with a Bachelor of Commerce and big plans — both for my photography business and my day job. My photoshoots got cancelled and postponed quickly, but at least I still had my marketing job. Or so I thought…

When I got laid off, I was heartbroken. I imagined finally finding a great marketing job thanks to my degree, not sitting at home applying for CERB.

As luck would have it, I found a new job fairly quickly. And Juliana was my manager. After a little while I got even luckier and found a better job. I had to make a decision in favour of my career and growth. So I left my new job of one month and started a new one again.

Why I am telling you all this? Well, because I got something extraordinary out of that first job. I got to meet a wonderful, driven, determined and stunning woman named Juliana. She invited me to spend an evening with her family and take some photos. We hung out in her backyard on a sunny summer evening and then took a stroll in a nearby park. What felt like any other family evening to them turned out to be a picture-perfect photoshoot that I’m sharing here.

If this story doesn’t prove that everything happens for a reason, I don’t know what does!
